Second Lining

Second Lining is a 60 minute music documentary, which investigates the impact of Hurricane Katrina on the musical traditions of New Orleans. We ask the musicians and their supporters how they are continuing their musical heritage four years on from Hurricane Katrina. Also ambushing their lifestyle is rising crime, financial crisis, a devastating heat wave and the fact that big business seems to have sold their city's soul to profit. The key question we ask is has the storm re-awakened the passion and washed away the complacency? Key musicians and the charities that support them, share their lives with us and we find out if we are witnessing the re-birth of New Orleans music.
